In midsummer, a group of friends set off down a river in a makeshift raft. The obstacles, both physical and living, that they encounter bear witness to the transformations and alterations that man has made to the waterways. Blending road-trip and scientific discourse, the film weaves links between submerged and submerged worlds, whose multiple prisms engage a restorative encounter between humans and non-humans.
Floods, droughts, swimming, life: water is a source of fear and desire. The film explores how to reconnect with this element through a combination of knowledge and sensibility.
