ROUGE - Act II
an installation by
Caroline Delannoy
visual artist - scenographer
July 22 to August 9, 2022
ROUGE- Acte II " is an exhibition of the work of nomadic visual artist and scenographer Caroline Delannoy, divided into 4 locations along a tourist and cultural trail in the heart of the Lauragais region. Her profoundly ecological approach unveils a sensitive world that can be read in a variety of ways, from abstract narration to contemplation.
" Rouge " is a bushy path, feminine, sensual, organic, evocative of a rebellious and bruised continent, of subterranean poetry extracted from the meanders of an artist's and woman's journey. It speaks of scars, flamboyance, drowning and resurrection. It brings to light the color of blood spilled, regenerated, the blood of life, the blood of women.
" Rouge " is filled with the time spent washing the trickling traces off the skin of the earth and the world, a harvest of words, gestures and thoughts, dyed in a cauldron of ruddy blood, spread out in the sun...
" Rouge " is an abrasion.

The artists:
Caroline DELANNOY
Whether she's creating sculptures, totems, sound installations, performances, calligraphic paintings or exploratory videos, in the profusion of materials and symbols, everywhere Caroline Delannoy invokes the body. Bodies absent, present, lost, dreamed, paper sculptures like molting, translucent and vibrating; wood, fabric, rope, thread, like bones, flesh, nerves, muscles; traces, writings, on paper, skin, canvas. She builds nests, huts, cocoons, bridges, calls out to bodies as they unfold, opening up suspended, inverted, fractured, recomposed spaces.
ROUGE is a retrospective of her entire career, with works brought together under a common cause, that of organic red, the energy of life.

SHE-WOLF IN THE STARS
A self-taught photographer, Louve dans les Etoiles is above all interested in the relationship between human beings and nature. Her images are often nourished by dreamlike visions, tinged with surrealism, sometimes borrowing from the textures of painting. She develops an organic relationship with them, exploring overprints, fragmentation and the filmic decomposition of movement. Her artistic universe is enriched by poetic texts imbued with lyricism and eroticism. For the ROUGE project, she presents NICHOIR - Passé Présent Avenir, a photographic installation that plunges us into the bowels of a wall, where we discover the allegory of our roots, our stories, our history. Where we come from and where we're going....see faces and creatures, old and new deities linking past, present and future inscribed in stone, such is the experience proposed in this nesting box.

Anne-Cécile DELIAUD
Anne-Cécile Déliaud has been practicing butô for over 20 years, and dances in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues (theater, exhibition, festival, guinguette, cabaret, park, street, home, river, nature...) alone or in collaboration with multidisciplinary artists. For certain projects, she uses her voice for readings and songs. Butô movement, with its universal, profound and solitary essence, is her artistic reference point. Her dance responds to a profound call, something of love, a need for truth. Beyond our personal ebb and flow, our allegiances, there is within us a virginal, free, wild space. "The soul exults when the light opens it up to make its way. For ROUGE, she will propose a butô dance performance.
