Impressions of Saint-Ferréol
How can I render what I see "that others don't see"? This is the question taken up by JEAN PAGES (b. 1947), a resident of Saint-Ferréol, as he tirelessly surveys his living space - the perimeter of the lake - in all seasons.
By choosing to paint on poplar plywood and making his own wooden frames, he delivers an ode to trees, to their shapes determined by the wind, to their bark and leaf materials, to their colors at the dawn and dusk of the day.
